“We liked the location; the cleanliness and friendly owner. it was spacious but surprising as in a basement (actually some sort of revamped medieval shop in an old stone building. nearly no air as a single basement like window could open, rest were nearly obscured as on street level and impossible to open, not fun on a heat wave. No window in the bathroom either which means smalls can easily spread out. that is probably the price to pay to be in an old town center like this one. We slept well, the bed was good. but we were nearly dead from heat and fatigue, so deads always sleep well;)”

“Superb Location, clean modern apartment that has everything you need. Fantastic amount of character too, very tastefully done. The owner Maria is lovely, she called us prior to us arriving to arrange a time to meet. Gave us a very warm welcome explaining all about Perigueux and the surrounding areas to explore. We had planned to visit places during our stay, Brantôme and St Jean de Cole are beautiful places to visit approx 1/2hr away. We then had nights out in Perigueux which really is a buzzing place. There is plenty of free parking down by the river, about a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment, we parked there the whole time during our stay with no problem whatsoever. 3 Nights was probably not enough and we would’ve liked to stay in that area longer. We will most definitely be returning to Perigueux.”

Booking acknowledged the time. I tried texting and calling Audrey. We couldn’t reach her. We did not know what to do since we couldn’t reach her nor get into the apartment. Therefore we had to go to the Mercure Hotel and paid for that night twice, at the Mercure and the appartement. The directions are in French. If renting to foreigners directions should be available in several languages.”
