“The friendly welcome. Laurence and Bruno were so lovely and provided us with breakfast for the following day as we had to get up early for a kayak tour. The room was quaint and quite unique. Bed and pillow very comfortable. Hand held shower but water very hot so it was fun and unique. Having a pool to cool down in was a bonus. Breakfast delicious and tea and coffee facilities in room perfect.”

“We needed accommodation near the PGL Residential Centre in Vagnas (family working there). We found several options of self-catering but they were all very expensive. Then we came across Camping Parc Saint Sauvayre which was very reasonably priced. The majority of the reviews were in French but they were all very positive. We were not disappointed - from the moment we arrived the owners could not have been more helpful, from providing bedding and towels (at no extra charge) to suggesting places in the area to visit. The static caravan was clean and well maintained and had all the kitchen equipment that was needed for our week, with a lovely covered outside area looking out onto fields. The swimming pool, although not huge, is lovely to cool off in after a day spent sightseeing. The Ardeche is a simply beautiful location and we canoed, swam in the crystal clear water and explored the idyllic surrounds. The local town of Vallon-Pont-d'Arc is well worth visiting, especially on a Thursday which is Market Day.”

“This is a wonderful place - can not recommend the hotel, the food, the staff highly enough. Really was a lovely experience for our party of 6. We arrived on bikes at this beautiful, tranquil refuge. We were met by the charming owner, who gave us a brief history as he showed us to our rooms. We were late, but he assured us that we had time to shower and change and the dining room would still serve us. We then sat in the magical courtyard, relaxing in the calm evening, while the wait staff took our orders - and then one of the best meals we have had in the last years was served. Very comfortable rooms. Lovely breakfast on the front terrace. Very personal send off including tour of the still in renovation chapel.”
