“This is an absolutely beautiful cottage that has been fitted out and equipped to a very high standard, and with great decor (particularly loved the choice of artwork). The modern kitchen has everything you can possibly need for a self-catering holiday, and then some (including a washing machine, which is so handy on a walking holiday). The comfortable living room has a selection of maps, walking guides, books, games, TV, and reliable wifi. Upstairs there are two very comfortable double rooms (one with en suite) and a cozy little single squeezed in at the back that we didn't need. The cottage's location is perfect, just 10 pleasant minutes' walk (via the cobbled path on the other side of the river) into the village, where there is a really good food shop, and plenty of choice for eating out - even for a slightly fussy pescatarian. It is in a brilliant location for walking, too, with a huge choice of fantastic walks right from the front door, or just a few minutes' drive away. Having two off-street parking spaces just up the road was very handy, as the road does get quite busy, and during the day in August the on-street parking spaces were pretty solid. Having the river right at the end of the garden was superb - and the reason we chose the cottage in the first place. Sleeping in the back room to the sound of rushing water was just lovely, and the lower patio area is a marvellous place to relax with a mug of coffee after a day's walking, watching the ducks, the dippers, and even a grey heron. All in all - a wonderful holiday, thank you very much!”

“The caravan was immaculate. Hot water. Location was perfect (v quite). No phone signal\Wifi - but a good thing to get off grid for a while and you only have to drive a 1\4 mile into town to get both. Hosts left some goodies in the fridge (nice touch). Nice people. Checked me in and left me alone (but made it clear they were available should I need) . I will be going back.”
