“This place is too good to be true (in fact, when we arrived, my husband kept insisting that we must be in the wrong place because it was too nice). It was perfectly clean and there are extras of everything and every piece of cooking equipment you could need in this super comfy place. There are complete instructions for everything and a helpful binder of information. We spent four nights there and kept discovering new things each day, like the tide tables in the living room and the CD's of Scottish music upstairs. The welcome basket the hosts left was so lovely and thoughtful... we especially appreciated it since we were out in the mountains for all of the daylight hours and didn't have much time to visit local businesses. Because of this we also didn't get to meet the hosts, but they were extremely helpful and always available by phone or email... we didn't have any issues but communicated a few times, and it was nice to know that they were nearby if needed. We had beautiful weather for the whole stay and I found myself almost wishing for a rainy afternoon to just hang out at the cottage. The location was also really convenient... it's close to the CO-OP, some restaurants and a gas station, but it's extremely quiet and peaceful at the cottage. It's also close to the mainland if you feel like doing something off the island. The cottage has a personal and homey feel to it, like staying in someone's house but with a really nice bathroom.”

“Ultimately the cottage did suit our needs, if you removed the problems. The beds were comfortable, heating good, shower and towels were also good. The property had been cleaned well considering the carpets were older. My children enjoyed the safe space to play outside. We could watch them from inside if we needed to. The kitchen supplied everything, just remember your dishwashing liquid and washing powder. It was nice to have a washing machine during our stay. The location is good, close to a co-op supermarket and nice drives to local hikes. We enjoyed our stay.”
