They have a nice bar and patio. The breakfast is good and well priced - they'll ask you what time do you want your breakfast to be ready, set on the table. We had rooms on the second floor with big balconies overlooking the bay of Kavala. The furnishing was nice enough - a bit better than similarly priced and similarly rated hotels I've stayed around Europe. It's owned by a Greek family who served as my invaluable local travel guides - they gave me travel tips and recommendations for places to see, or where to eat and even about the local traffic police. My best experiences in Kavala were in places recommended by them. Overall, if you are looking for a decently priced, nice hotel around Kavala - definitely consider Philoxenia.”
