“We arrived out of season, so nobody else was around at the property, but we were able to get in touch with the owner quickly via the tourist office in Nerezine and a lovely local lady came to let us in. The apartment was very spacious, with a great kitchen/diner/living room, two bedrooms, a modern bathroom and a lovely garden terrace. Parking was no problem right next to the building and it was very easy to find from the road, as it is a primrose yellow building that stands out very clearly - you can't miss it! The village of Sveti Jakov is delightful to walk around and has one very good restaurant. You can walk down to the little harbour and beach within ten minutes, so it's in a great location for rest and relaxation. For shops and a little more life, Nerezine is only 3 mins away by car or you could walk it in 30 mins. There was a bus stop right next to the village, but I'm not sure about the regularity of the buses, as we didn't need them.”

Host (Lin) was extremely kind, baking delicious cakes for breakfast, making coffee in the morning and constantly preparing fresh water with various fruits and spices. “This accommodation comprises a really pretty room with a lockable outside door and mosquito netting. Air conditioning is available on request. De-humidifier supplied. Outside the room there is a lovely patio area with privacy curtains, with table and chairs, that overlooks one of the most beautiful, well kept gardens we have ever seen in Croatia, complete with entertaining tortoises! The kitchen, outside the bedroom, is incredibly well equipped and the bathroom accessed via the kitchen is tastefully decorated, modern and super clean. The beaches are within a short walking distance just round the corner and there are plenty of restaurants and bars. A well stocked supermarket is close by too. The hospitality provided by the hosts was incredibly generous - nothing was too much trouble and Katica could just not do enough for you! We were very touched. This is a wonderful place!”
