“Exceeding even our highest expectations. This Villa and the surrounding area is a little slice of Heaven. Stunning private Villa set amongst Olive Groves with views of Medieval hilltop towns. From the moment we arrived our holiday was perfect. Met by the host family who had a beautiful platter of olives, meats and cheeses along with bread and wine (despite our midnight arrival!). We can't say enough about Elvira, Roberto & Marian who did everything to ensure our stay was wonderful. Elvira thank you for our gorgeous traditional meal, your beautiful cakes, fresh eggs, cured meat and delicious home brewed peach liquor :). We'll enjoy the bottle you gave us on winter nights at home and it will remind us of our time in Istria. We travelled as a family of 2 adults and 4 children ranging from 10 to 16 and we also had 2 sets of grandparents with us on week one. The Villa had ample room for us all with plenty of private areas to enjoy the surroundings and get lost in a book with only the sounds of the crickets and birds. The kids loved the Pool and the games room plus the 3d tv! Plenty of space around the pool for everyone and we enjoyed late evening barbeques too.. Hire a car and discover the surrounding walled towns of Grosnjan with its cobbled streets and artists shops, plus Motovun, another medieval gem. The livelier towns of Rovinj, with its marina and medieval main street, plus the colourful building stretching out from the sea & Porec, with its gilded Basilica and are equally stunning but returning to Villa after the hustle and bustle of shops are what made the holiday for us. We feel that not only did we holiday in Istria, Croatia but rather, we lived there for 2 weeks & that is thanks to this stunning Istrian Villa and the warmth of its hosts.”
