“Everything was great. The staff were very friendly, relaxed and attentive. The food they cooked was amongst the best we had in Indonesia and something different every meal. Staff were always at the ready - with laundry, kayaks, transport to and from our destinations, and umbrellas. The room we stayed in was sufficient for what we were after - low key and comfortable. We had the best sleep after trekking for four days in the jungle near Bukit lawang. The landscape was brilliant, just serene. All you can hear is the sound of birds. I just read my book all day and had a few dips in the water. There’s also lots of nice spots to do yoga or exercise if you feel the need. We didn’t go onto the island in the middle of the lake and not sure what we missed out on but we didn’t care - we got exactly what we wanted from this slice of heaven. Thank you!!”
