“We spent 7 nights at Breve Azurine and we wish we could have stayed longer! Everything was absolute perfection from the views, the decor, the staff, the food and I could go on! We stayed in a Seahill Cottage which was complete luxury - the bed was comfortable, we had a lounge area to relax in as well as the bedroom and the outside bathroom was gorgeous. The breakfast was generous and served down by the ocean which was a wonderful start to the day. And the lunch / dinner menus (served at one of the two restaurants depending on the time of day) was good - the only thing it was missing was some grilled fresh fish but we would head to the market in town for this some evenings. The beach is so tranquil and great for snorkelling as it’s so shallow and warm. We had a massage on the beach one evening followed by prosecco on our terrace, all arranged by the staff. You can also rent a scooter to explore the island and make sure you ask them to arrange a trip to the turtle conservation centre to see the baby turtles! Lastly, the staff were just phenomenal throughout our whole stay. They are so polite and brilliantly trained - I couldn’t fault them at all. Especially Budi who always greeted us with a smile and interesting chats about the island or his experiences in Indonesia. We HIGHLY recommend Breve Azurine and can’t wait to go back someday.”

“We stayed at the hotel for almost two weeks. This is our second time here. We were worried that it would be too long since most people only stay a couple of days. But luckily it was nice. The hotel is great, it is clean and has a nice relaxing atmosphere. The general area is really comfortable with beachbeds, nice chairs and fast WiFi. Most of the time there is nice music which makes it very difficult to get up because it is so nice. The rooms are nice. We stayed in the bungalow. It feels really spacious since it is two stories tall. The bathroom is big and the airco really does its job. The view is incredible. Just coming once isnt enough. You really need to stay here and it truly is unreal. No where on the island is it possible to get the same feeling. All of this gives the hotel a 9. The best thing though about the hotel is the staff and the manager Naomi in general. Which gives it that exceptional 10. They truly completed the stay here. They didn't stop at providing service that is normal for a hotel. Naomi answered all our questions without giving us a feeling we were asking too much. She arranged our scooters our snorkeling trip and got us really nice breakfast that wasnt on the menu. When we got a burned spot on the leg she even got us aloë vera. She was a great host and always welcomed us with a big smile. So thanks for having us and hopefully until next time.”

“The owner is a sweetheart. He treated us like we where king and queen. The location is very private we had the beach to ourselves. It was such a treat to have stayed here. There’s a place next to the bungaló where you can have breakfast and dinner. I would recommend to rent a motorbike when you visit this area. Make sure to bring your shoes to wear in the water there are lots of beautiful see shells. And make sure to wake up early to see the sunrise. At night you can see the stars so bright and see the milky way. We had a wonderful experience here and we recommend this place. Be kind to the owner he is learning English and he is so willing to do anything for you.”

“We traveled as a family with small children. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Certainly not 5 star resort but that's OK with us. Very comfortable queen mattress on the floor. They had 2 good foam single mattresses for the children (on the floor). We stayed in the elevated room/house with porch and bathroom. The room has AC but barely able to keep up during the day; we didn't care, it's cooler than outside. Very comfortable and clean. Wifi is good. Plenty of fresh cool water (it's hot here so no need or desire for hot water). We love Indonesian food and it was fabulous: they made special order grilled fish with rice. Another night we had soto (again special order). Also sop ayam (chicken rice soup). Very delicious! We also loved their burgers and french fries. Juices were so refreshing. Our favorite regular order was ayam goreng (fried chicken) with rice and capcay (a delicious cooked vegetable mixture); we usually added the capcay to the rice to make a tasty meal. Prices were reasonable. We loved the beach; beautiful sand and clear water. Safe for the children because it's very shallow far out to the rocks. Really neat swing on the water. Plenty of places to sit in the shade or sunbathe. Nice elevated platform to sit and eat. Good village store Refani Minimarket with snacks and much more in the village 1.3 km away. We loved the place and recommend it highly.”

The hotel staff were lovely and helped us out a lot with rearranging our travels after our boat journey from the island to Jepara got cancelled. It's quick to get to Happinezz Hills from the port or airport and the scooter hire made it super easy to get around this beautiful, peaceful island. You can see how much energy and love has been put into this hotel by its owners (Dutch/Indonesian)and I would recommend it to anyone who's planning on travelling to Indonesia.”

“My partner and I planned to spend 3 nights here and stayed 6. The location is just outside of town. We had a reservation and upon arrival to the island on the ferry, we were picked up by the staff. We arrived at the really well layed out property that has really awesome bar&resto. We stayed in the loft of the dorms and were really comfortable. (Great A/C) The sheets and bedding were clean, fresh towels given to us. The hostel had a roof top chill zone that had a great view of the sea bean bag chairs. The bathrooms were clean, lots of power outlets all over, lockers for valuables, scooter rental on site. Ami and staff were so friendly and helpful with everything(travel arrangements, ferry info, train info) Suggestions of adventures, helped us book snorkeling trip that was really awesome( worth the money), cultural lunch on the other side of the island, recommendations for eating and heads up on the nicest spots to hit the beach. Ami’s attention to detail and wonderful personality were the highlight of our stay. Aswell, the morning breakfast was always delicious and even though they are still building more into the property. It was all around a great stay, and hostel. Couldn’t thank Ami and team enough. It’s only going to get batter.”
