“We stayed at the Black lava hotel for one night. The hostel has an incredible view over Lake Batur and mount Agung. There was a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere and Yurn and his nephew along with the rest of the staff made our stay pleasant. They cooked lovely food, we got to taste the fish from the lake and enjoy a traditional Balinese breakfast. They organised so we could trek mount Batur in the morning to see the sunrise and it was amazing. Really good guiding which made the walk a lot easier. At the top we got breakfast and a lot of interesting facts about the volcano. We would definitely recommend this hostel. It is clean, has great staff and an amazing view.”

“We had a lovely room with an exceptional view! We could see right across the lake and mountains. The owner was very polite and helpful with enquiries during our stay. We were able to book transfers and scooters during our stay for a good price! The photos shown to advertise this place do not do it justice, we were blown away! Defiantely recommend trying to get to the top of mount batur .. amazing! So peaceful and relaxing at this place, the hot springs are really close by, but most of all the staff were so welcoming, would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends wanting to stay in this area! Thank you!”

“Amazing lovely place with gorgeous views everywhere. The brother and sister who run the place were very friendly, cooked us a lovely meal and the most amazing breakfast. We went on a sunrise hike which they organized perfectly for us. Considering they were only open for a few months they are doing perfect and hopefully they will continue like this!”
