It is a gem of a place, set in most peaceful countryside (the variety of birdlife in high summer is wonderful; you could stand and watch the swallows all day), and Wilfred and Joan Moffitt are delightful people, kindly but unobtrusive and for whom nothing is too much trouble. The cottage has every comfort and feels remarkably bright and spacious. Thornhill is about fifty minutes' walk from Blacklion (by the lovely back-lane through Killycarney) but well placed for jaunts to such centres as Enniskillen, Sligo, Boyle and Carrick-on-Shannon. I'll be back!”
