“Hotel Batseri is located in the middle of nowhere. It takes a slightly treacherous drive to get there but once you've arrived there's nothing quite like it. Wake up to the gorgeous view of snow covered peaks, then get dressed and step into the sun to have your breakfast outdoors with a view of the river running below. It doesn't get any better for a city-slicker. The food is fantastic and the staff warm and helpful. Request a trout dinner a day in advance and they'll source the trout from a trout farm in the district. A little trail leads down, from the back of the hotel to the freezing cold river which makes for a very nice walk. Take a dip at your own peril. The water is essentially freshly melted ice and snow. Or take a walk up to Batseri village and stroll through the little lanes to see some delightfully colourful houses. The hotel suite is very comfortable and very comfortably priced as well. For a little stretching room I recommend booking them.”
