“Although a little skeptical about making a solo trip to god's own( as my friend was not able to join me as initially planned), my fears where put to rest the moment I set my foot on Vythiri Danish resort.As per my prior request ,a cab was arranged by the Property from Calicut Airport . Check in was a breeze, greeted with smiling faces escorted by Rinku till my cottage that easily blends with nature . During my walk towards the cottage, I was lucky to spot butterflies dancing , feel the cool breeze, inhale oxygen rich air and listen to the Koooing of birds.. in short felt mother nature's love:-). As I was heading towards the cottage I could also hear the sound of a stream running and that brought out the child in me :-) I nearly ran down the good 80 odd steps and voila!~! I was greeted by the Kannadichola stream!! Dangled my feet by sitting on a rock and made a mental note to meditate and chant there the next day morning which I did and the feeling was pure bliss - a total communion with mother nature!. Had Puttu and kadala for breakfast- the taste of which reminded me of my Late Grandmother and I asked for a kattan(black coffee with ghee) which Sreejith , the waiter obliged) And aah ! that reminds me there are coffee plants in the property as well.. Did a bit of unwinding with a book on a bench outside the cottage until noon .Speaking about the cottage it was neat and cosy provided with clean bed-sheets and cover. Although I noticed that there was a television and wifi facility, did not use either because i was in total harmony with nature.Thank you Jeetu and team for the wonderful care and trip suggestions for the forthcoming visit. Looking forward to my second "date with nature" at Vythiri Danish during the Monsoons!!!”
