“Borgo Iesolana is a tranquil hidden gem of Tuscany surround by olive trees, vines and rolling hills. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival to be generously upgraded from a 1 bedroom apartment to a 2 bedroom apartment. Mid-stay, we experienced a problem with the boiler and were once again upgraded to a larger apartment. The staff made the world of difference to our stay and took a potential disaster and turned into a positive for us. Even with an fully-equipped apartment, we couldn't go past the delectable onsite restaurant each night for dinner and enjoyed their great selection of wines too. Our 2 year old enjoyed becoming friends with the resident cat, seeing tractors in real life and kicking balls around the football field set in the winery. We could imagine how inviting the swimming pools would be in the warmer season. Because of it's location, Borgo Iesolana made it inviting to visit the Tuscan surrounds, but it is the sort of place with comforts (so much private space to enjoy as well as the common areas) that made it difficult to leave the grounds each day. We would have just as easily relaxed all week without leaving the Borgo.”

“We stayed in Il Verreno for a week and it was amazing! It has our unlimited recommendation! Surroundings: The estate lies beautifully between olive trees, wine and cypresses on a hill near the town of Ambra. It is ideal for a holiday to explore Tuscany with Siena, Arezzo and Florence nearby. The agriturismo-hotel has a typical Tuscan flair, is newly renovated (open for ca. 2 years) and composed of several houses with rooms and/or flats. Besides their own vegetable/fruit/herbal garden and olive trees, there is a large swimming pool, spacious sitting areas outside with beautiful views, a gym room with a steam room, a barbecue area and a small playground for children at the back. Rooms: Most rooms have a bedroom, a living room and a bathroom and are very spacious, comfortable and very clean. It is very quiet, the beds are very comfortable. Air conditioning worked perfectly. Room service was extremely attentive and smooth. Service: The manager Silvia and the Chefs Keoma and Marialuisa (and all the other staff) provided the best service we had so far in any luxury hotel we stayed in. It was a great pleasure to meet them. They run the hotel and restaurant with so much love and enthusiasm, you can tell they enjoy what they do. The service was very natural, familiar and made us feel welcome and at home. They would meet our every wish (some fruit and juice for the room, some extra towels, a lunchbox for the car, any special requests for breakfast or dinner) without hesitation. They gave us very valuable recommendations for trips, sights and restaurants. Restaurant: The restaurant Cucina Donnaluisa is run by Marialuisa and Keoma. The breakfast was delicious and lush with freshly baked cake, croissants, toast and a wide selection of cheese, ham, honey, jam, fruit salad, fresh juice, and freshly prepared eggs of our choice. We had dinner 5 times and ate almost through the whole menu, which definitely has Michelin-star standard (well-prized though)!”
