“The breakfast was fantastic! The room was above a restaurant, and breakfast was served within the restaurant. I was the only guest during this time, and yet, the breakfast was a full-out spread: yogurt with fresh fruit or granola for toppings, a variety of fruit juices, coffee made to order (including espresso drinks), individual frittatas made to order, freshly baked (from a bakery close by) croissant or roll. Pretty yummy! The windows opened directly (3rd floor) above one of the main streets in this small town. There was a parade during my stay, and I got a front-row seat! The people go to bed fairly early, so noise was never a problem.”

“This property is unique. You initially enter through the kitchen which seems small and slightly dark. We were there in the spring but the kitchen will be cool in the summer. You then climb some fairly step stairs to a beautiful and spacious bedroom views out over the hills and a picture window. There are more steep steps up onto the roof terrace which is just wonderful with 360 views over the town, the cathedral and the countryside. Despite the weather being changeable we spent a lot of time just enjoying this space. The property is immaculately equipped with every thing you need and good WIFI. Andrea was very helpful and left a tasty welcome gift. There is a lot to see in Sansepulcro and the surrounding towns. There are plenty of nice places to eat within 100 metres especially the Restaurante Fiorentino.”

“The host couple ophelia and luigi treated you like family. They lived next door and although we were private it was nice to have them close by. It was an honor to be invited into their home for breakfast each of our 4 mornings and we were lucky to share an evening meal with them and their friends as well. Our apartment was so cute. But you must not have mobility issues as the spiral staircase is narrow up to the 2nd floor living room and you must then climb a ladder to the loft to sleep. Thank you also to their english speaking son, alessandro to help with the booking and communication. Bellissimo!! Grazie mille!!!”

San Sepolcro oversees the plain where the Italian League, led by Firenze, stopped the invading Milanese in the 1440 Battle of Alghieri (neighbouring hilltown with a great antique market), thus "saving the Renaissance". We had the pleasure of being Lisa Fanfani's first guests and were treated like royals.”
