“I was shocked to read my sister's review who, unlike me, stayed for longer than 1 night at the property: "Unfortunately, our experience at Sestri Levante was ruined by unprofessional people. Let’s start from the very beginning. Although Hintown seems like a big company with a lot of property all over Italy, they couldn’t manage to book the money off any of my cards. I am a highest Genius status traveller on Booking.com and have never experienced any problems of the sort before. I had to book this property 2 or 3 times, adding different types of cards (Visa, AmEx, etc.), but they never even tried to book the payment! So, my brother had to make a new Booking account and pay with PayPal (I guess the only way they REALLY accept payments, although it had “pay at the property” status!), so we arrived already with mixed emotions. Also, to mention, Hintown insist on signing a huge contract with all these prices (broken glass €50, drawing on the wall €300 or something like that, totally overpriced) and you have to go through an unnecessarily long check-in process. We arrived at 3PM (although we agreed we’d be there at 2); the guy waited for us for this whole hour, but the maid was still cleaning (or, actually, talking loudly on FaceTime...and we had to wait for like an hour!) With kids and our belongings, all tired from packing and the long road. She (her name was Laura) was so unfriendly from the very beginning, asking questions like “Why do you have so much luggage?” (which is none of her business, I suppose?) Ok, so she leaves and we want some coffee. Guess what, there’s no kettle! We were boiling water in a cooking pot! Just like centuries ago. Ugh.”

Check-in/out - absolutely fine and stress-free. Location is excellent - few minutes from the railway station and to the beach with a nice promenade. “We loved the location in the centre of the town. Close to the beaches, shops and restaurants. In the house it was quiet and you didn’t hear any noise from the street. The Tomiani family did a great job in decorating the apartment: there’s a really nice atmosphere in the house which makes you feel at home. Furthermore the apartment is well equiped with everything you need and more: like beach towels, mosquito spray, food and drinks in the fridge and even a small present for our kids! “I have been many times to Sestri Levante but this is by far the best stay from Alexandra's friendliness to location to functionality/comfort and value for money. The location is 3 minutes walk from the center and 5 from the Baya del Silencio. It is calm, and on top, they sell a fantastic olive oil next door. Loads of good restaurants around and strolling through the little town made easy. Another big plus is the fantastic and safe car parking.
