There are many thing to do in this ryokan which is great compare to others. There are like live Japanese guitar and mochi show. Dinner and breakfast are great but a bit crowded. No wifi in the room!!! Is it still possible!”

“We travelled here with my husband's elderly parents, who required a Western Room, whilst our family of 4 were happy with Western or Japanese. We were delighted to find ourselves in their most prestigious suite, with a very comfortable Western room for my husband and I, whilst our sons slept in the gorgeous adjoining tatami room on double layered futons. The room rate was very reasonable, and both our room and my husband's parents rooms were immaculately clean and VERY comfortable. The staff were very helpful, and we dined in the buffet (called "Viking Restaurant" in Japan) restaurant both nights and both mornings. There was so much food - sushi, sashimi, noodles, rice dishes, salads, chinese, etc etc. All good quality and served with a smile! The restaurant was very busy, but at no point did we feel inconvenienced by this, and staff were quick to help with drinks etc, as well as to find us a table. All very well organised. The 2 onsens (hot spring baths) were fabulous and clean, and had good views. We spent 2 nights here, and it was a wonderful base for many of the beautiful places we wanted to visit nearby. The drive from Tokyo via Nikko was incredibly beautiful also, and introduced us to a much more rural side of Japan. We did not really explore Aizu town itself, but we did visit the WONDERFUL castle (Aizuwakamatsu) with a great historical display inside written in English as well as Japanese.”

“Very surprised when I arrived to the ryokan, the entrance looked very small. But when I went in, it was totally different story. It was beautiful and very big with very nice decorations. My room was big and look outside with the river. Staffs were friendly. The dining room was interesting with a lot of traditional Japanese decorations, very nice. The onsen was a bit weak, specially the change area. There has no place to put the clothing basket. The onsen water wasn't very hot but it's good enough. I like the place, I will stay again next time.”
