“Perfect place to stay while visiting the glow worm caves. The cabin is well equipped and very comfortable. We enjoyed the evening on the porch, heated a light dinner in the communal kitchen, had a good night's sleep. I like that the cabins do not have adjoining walls, so we were not troubled by other people talking or plumbing noise.”

“Good restaurant right across the street; glowworms in the area at night; we left with a key in our luggage, they said "Don't worry about it." Found it a few days later, mailed it back, got a nice email from them a few days later.”

Surrounded by rural countryside, Glow Worms Motel features an outdoor pool, BBQ facilities and a children’s swing set. It offers self-contained accommodation with free Wi-Fi and lovely garden views.
“The location turned out really well. Besides the reasonable drive to the caves and to one of the "ten best" trails in New Zealand, it also turned out that there was a large New World supermarket just down the road in Te Kuiti which worked out well given the very nice kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, sink and plates/utensils provided by the motel. Also, within walking distance down the road was a farm with ostriches (which came right up to us), emus, and alpacas. Unexpected and fun.”

“...but still perfectly located to explore all that Waitomo has to offer. Our hosts, Leanne and Rod, could not have been more welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was perfect - fresh, homemade/homegrown and delicious. We were just sorry we could not stay longer to enjoy it more.”
