“After looking at various other options in Ayacucho, I can say that this a one-of-a-kind lodging for this city and absolutely worth the cost. There are plenty of comfortable, traditional hotels available in the city, but few, if any, apartments like this. Just a few blocks outside the historic center, you can get the feeling of living like a local with pretty much every comfort you can think of. A few key points: 1) piping hot water with good pressure, far from common in these parts 2) excellent security, lacking in many local hotels 3) wide-screen TV’s with Netflix and other options, and a fully furnished living room area, 4) a spacious kitchenette with plenty of room to prepare meals, and 5) a very comfortable bed. Some of the units also have great views of the city, others are inside and completely silent. Regarding the earlier review, it is true that the (fantastic) family is still learning English, but the owner is able to communicate with basic phrases, and simple Spanish is enough for most needs. I was able to get what I needed and enjoyed my stay here. The construction has finished and I found the entire building to be very clean. Highly recommended for a short stay in the city, and it really is worth it to spend a few days getting to know the area.”
