“We had a late flight and were able to make full use of the pools (indoor & outdoor), jacuzzi and other facilities after check out. The staff made us welcome and the pool/hotel barman was very good. The reception staff we able to offer us car hire despite us not being able to find any availability on the internet before our arrival. A car made a huge difference to our enjoyment of Faial. We thought the value for money was excellent during our mid-week stay. This is a historic set of buildings (visit Horta Museum to see why!), in a great location - directly behind the harbour and a short walk to the most interesting parts of the town. It has an infinity pool and bar with a fantastic view over Pico island. The standard rooms are very spacious and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast was a buffet with lots of choice. We would definitely return.”

“It is a beautiful house with an exceptional view of Horta Bay. The Family House has large interior dimensions and excellent outdoor spaces. A beautiful garden in front of the house, where we can enjoy a good wine and watch the boats that cross the Pico / Faial Island Canal and reach the Horta harbor. It has a grill and good conditions to prepare an excellent grilled fish and meat. The house has all the necessary equipment for a quiet and comfortable stay. The house is totally as shown in the pictures. The place is very peaceful with scenery that mixes the green of the vegetation and the blue of the sea. We can make trails in the surrounding area. We recommend renting a car to know the unique places of Faial Island. Public transport is not good for enjoying the island. We can transport the rental car on the ferry to visit Pico and São Jorge Islands. The hosts are very friendly and always available to give any support or suggestions. We love staying at Family House and Faial Island and we want to go back for a stay at least 5 full days.”

Apartment is fully equipped with everything, including plenty of pool towels. interior is very nice and stylish. Flat screen tv with international TV channels. Beds are very comfy. Everything super clean. Price also very very reasonable. I recommend to get a rental car as location is a little uphill from Horta (about 3km) in Flamengos close to the botanical garden. Owners are very very kind and helpful and asking if you will need anything. We loved it here and can fully recommend this place to everyone who visits Horta. We were here to do a couple of whale watching tourso. 5 Stars ⭐️ for Vale dos Cocos”
