The old University city of Coimbra it is only a 20 minute drive with stunning architecture, great shopping, local food market, cultural events, walks by the Mondego River, esplanades, parks and cafes , many catering in traditional gastronomy. Within walking distance from the house there is a fluvial beach and bar which kept the boys and myself well entertained and active either swimming, canoeing or simply relaxing enjoying the tranquility of the lovely nature surroundings. “This is a comfortable house with an incredible view. It's also quiet, delightfully so. Most houses I've rented have had only the most basic of cooking and eating utensils, not so here! I had exactly what I needed to cook full meals. Even seasonings and cooking oils were provided. “The personnel was nice, supportive and spoke English. The room was cleaned every day and there was adjustable heating in the room the first day but it was turned off on the second day probably because the hotel was closing due to the COVID-19 in Portugal.
