“Jim and Jacques were really wonderful hosts. They made us feel so welcome in their home and helped us to plan our stay, organising a moped and also a driver to visit Chiang Mai for the day (40 mins from the villa). Breakfast was delicious- homemade yoghurt, fresh fruit, homemade jams, bread, eggs and they had also gone to the trouble of getting us veggie sausages too! We didn’t need to eat again until dinner time! The villa has really beautiful views of the paddy fields and one day we decided to stay by the pool for the afternoon and just relax. We were brought a plate of fresh fruit and lemonade by the pool- delicious! The villa itself is stunning. There’s lots of beautiful wood everywhere, gorgeous pottery and the bed was incredibly comfy and shower super powerful! It is very luxurious and just the perfect thing if you’re looking to be away from pollution, tourists and experience something slightly different. We explored the countryside around Doi Saket on the moped the first day, going up to the dam and the area around. The second day we went into Chiang Mai (Jim has told us all the sights to see and things to do so our driver took us there) and the third we went for an amazing massage and came back and relaxed at the villa. There was more to see around Doi Saket but the pool was too inviting on the last day of our trip! We had the best time here and would definitely go back again. A massive thank you to our kind and welcoming hosts!”
