“We decided to stay at the Nutt House for several reasons. First, so my daughter and I could attend Grandbury's Candlelight Tour of Homes and not have to drive home afterwards. Second, so my husband and son could hang out at Ketzler's (great food and beer, by the way) and not have to drive home afterwards. And, third because I love historic hotels and we would not have to drive home. We had a great overnight stay. The hotel is in the perfect location, right on the square. The building is beautiful if you love old architecture. The rooms are beautiful as well with lots of antique furniture and full of lovely little details. The beds were extremely comfortable and the wifi worked fine. There was a pretty good breakfast spread available in the morning. The staff was great. I loved that they gave us a key to the front door in case we needed to come and go after the shop downstairs closed up. They also had drinks and snacks available for purchase using the age old honor system. Welcome to small town America where folks still trust and believe in the good in people! I really loved the feel of the whole place. Warm and cozy and felt like we could have been transported back in time. Looking forward to returning again.”
