This modern, light-flooded hotel like just an 8-minute bus ride from Heidelberg’s Old Town, boasting views of the Neckar river and proximity to the extensive Odenwald forest. Our main worry was the distance from the city center, but as it turned out it's not an issue. We were offered the room with the view to Neckar. I can imagine the view will be even better in spring-summer time, yet even in January it is nice. We had everything we needed and were treated as VIPs, which was really pleasing.

This apartment is real value for money. It's about 5 km from Altstadt (historic downtown) but there is a bus stop a few steps from the door, takes 10 min to get to Altstadt. German monthly pass (good for local trains, buses, etc.) costs 9 Euro per person. There is a assigned parking for each guest.
