We had an incredible stay with Denise and Phoebe the cat. Everyday began with a breakfast at Denise's breakfast table where we shared stories and sighed about poltics or learned new things about the area's archaeological digs. Denise is a lovely, well-informed, easygoing and hospitable person. She took a lot of trouble to suggest things that we'd enjoy and things we should look out for. Even her other guests were warm and gracious and friendly. The rooms are simply delightful, very comfortable and well-equipped. The area is in a high-security neighborhood. Outside the room is a couple of tables and chair as well as the patio area you see in the picture if you just want to chill and read a book. I think the best part is that Denise relies on water tanks and solar energy, so there is no fear of load shedding or water cuts to dampen your stay. I think I could happily stay a month or more at such a comfortable place. And Denise let us use her garage to park our rental car so we weren't worried about it either.

Very nice, clean and peaceful place with comfortable equipments. Good and considerate communication with owners Nice restaurants and fairly pleasant nightlife just a few hundred meters from the accomodation ( some bars and restaurants with nice ambiance ). There is no 9.5 score so I modified the score to 10.

"La Couronne" is situated in Johannesburg, 9 km from Apartheid Museum and 9 km from Gold Reef City Casino, in an area where hiking can be enjoyed. This was our second time staying with Laura and Walter and we loved it again. They really go above and beyond to make you feel at home and the apartment has everything you need, including a nice view. Thanks again for a wonderful stay and see you next time!
