As non- French I didn’t know what quite to expect when visiting Le Phare and Ile de Ré, but the photos look promising which is why we even decided to go to Les Portes en Ré. And I have to say Le Phare topped my expectations!! The site is beautiful, with a lot of greenery, two pools, very close to two beaches… the huts very comfortable and very private. The restaurant is also great and the staff was very welcoming and kind. One can rent bikes and visit other places on the island which I highly recommend!

Great location on the island. A short cycle to the market to get breakfast pastries and bread from the lovely village market on each day in summer. The proximity to the road really didn't bother us because the garden is so large. House has great indoor outdoor flow, and the integral bike garage was really useful.
