The location was excellent for visiting the lakes. You could walk into Ambleside and the other areas were easily accessible by car. The house was perfect for a large group with a big living room that accommodated everyone. The decor of tastefully done and completed to a high standard.

Simon and everyone from Rothay Garth were extremely approachable and friendly. My fiancée and I had a very comfortable 4 nights stay in the lakes thanks to their hospitality. The hearty and delicious breakfast on offer every morning ensured that we were fueled up before our hikes!

There is a shuttle bus that stops right outside the hotel if you don’t/can’t walk. The family room was a perfect size. I liked that there was a sofa bed rather than bunks for the children. Lovely and clean and room was made up each day (rare since Covid in most hotels!). What stands out here though are the staff - they were all so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Ample of parking space. 6. On the day of arrival rooms were perfectly clean and tidy.

Staff was very kind, helpful and fun ! Our family room was very big, and the bathroom very modern and clean. The surroundings are stunning. We stayed here the first night of our arrival in Lakedistrict and made a beautiful walk along the lake, played in the stream and climbed trees just in front of the hotel. Very clean, quiet at night, great location for the lakes, minutes away from most places. We had loads of fun in the games room - pool, ping pong, table football (and not an ipad or technology in sight and the kids loved it). Would definetely return!
