With a picturesque location in Ambleside, Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa World Hotel Distinctive, BW Premier Collection features a modern spa and a brasserie. There is free parking and spacious rooms with free WiFi and scenic views towards Wansfell.

We liked everything, but mostly the staff service. Each of the staff members seemed to make our stay comfortable and happy by anticipating our needs and solving any little problem we had. The morning breakfast was excellent. The Hotel is situated in a quiet but lovely center, and the entrance is easy (we had some thought when booking because the picture on the website showed many steps leading to the entrance, but when we arrived, we realized that the entrance is on the side and very convenient). Unfortunately, we didn't have time to spend in the spa but we checked it and it seems excellent.

Holmeshead Farm features garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Ambleside, 13 km from World of Beatrix Potter. There is a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area.

Holmeshead Farm B&B is a really good bed and breakfast – it is spotlessly clean, very comfortable and the full English breakfast is both generous and delicious (Ed’s home-made sausages are amazing!) Just what is needed before a day’s walking the fells. Judith is a lovely host, very helpful with great suggestions about dining out and walking etc, yet she also leaves you to enjoy the peace and quiet too – perfect! The gardens are a beautiful quiet place to sit out and take in the views, and they are a haven for wildlife – lots of bird life, and even four spotted flycatchers – a special treat indeed for bird lovers. This is a lovely quiet place to stay, yet so near to several major locations such as Hawkshead and Ambleside, and it’s a brilliant location for anyone that likes walking – so many of the major fell walking areas are very short drives away. We’ll be booking again.

Family room was lovely - very spacious and warm - liked that the kids were in a separate corner behind a curtain The door that led to the carpark was very handy for getting stuff to the room without hassle Beds are comfortable and we liked the seating area Smart TVs were great for a cosy night in - as were the abundant cushions on the beds! Staff are super friendly Breakfast buffet was plentiful and varied Powerful shower with plenty of hot water Brilliant location within steps of the shops and pubs of Ambleside

The hotel was a great location, right in the centre of town and less than a mile from the pier. There is a shuttle bus that stops right outside the hotel if you don’t/can’t walk. The family room was a perfect size. I liked that there was a sofa bed rather than bunks for the children. Lovely and clean and room was made up each day (rare since Covid in most hotels!). What stands out here though are the staff - they were all so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I couldn’t speak more highly of them.

1.Fantastic location. ( walkable to Windermere lake) I would suggest to park your car in the parking and walk around. 2.Spacious room for 2 adults and 2 kids. 3.Good breakfast , however the breakfast timings were Constricted (8-9) which is hard for families with kids to manage. 4.Gentleman managing during the breakfast time was friendly. 5. Ample of parking space. 6. On the day of arrival rooms were perfectly clean and tidy.

Pub and restaurant are great. All I expected and hoped for in a ‘pub inn hotel restaurant ‘. Staff was very kind, helpful and fun ! Our family room was very big, and the bathroom very modern and clean. The surroundings are stunning. We stayed here the first night of our arrival in Lakedistrict and made a beautiful walk along the lake, played in the stream and climbed trees just in front of the hotel. The gardens and Wordsworth house also nextdoor. Kids asked straight away if we could stay there the rest of the holiday

Visited with family and had a fabulous time. Excellent facilities, lovely atmosphere and staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. Very clean, quiet at night, great location for the lakes, minutes away from most places. We had loads of fun in the games room - pool, ping pong, table football (and not an ipad or technology in sight and the kids loved it). Would definetely return!
