Built as a private house in 1914, the hotel has hosted King George V and other members of the royal family. Many of the rooms and public areas retain elements of Edwardian luxury, including high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Our stay at the hotel was excellent, we were complimentary upgraded upon arrival to the Princess Suite and it is the most beautiful room I have seen or stayed in in the UK I cannot speak highly enough about this hotel and facilities. We look forward to coming back when we are next in the UK

Spacious apartment, comfortable and functional. Smart TV and DVD were a bonus for myself and the kids. Comfortable beds, sofa and chairs. Nice to have two quiet bedrooms. Lounge area has natural light and is cosy, connected to the kitchen. Great to have a decent size dining room also.

Convenient location to stay and eat as we arrived quite late. Good location to visit the zoo with our grandchildren. It was a good adventure for our grandchildren to be out late in a pub! And they really enjoyed the food. The staff were helpful, specifically the lady who made up our family room.

The breakfast was overrun by Ukranian refugee families that the hotel is housing. Kids walking around in their pajamas as though it`s their front room. Not showered and very offputting for the breakfast buffet. Not suitable for a business stay at all. Ukranian men stood around the doors smoking. Couldn't get near the Sauna facilities or hot tub. Kids playing table football in the room opposite my bedroom, shouting and running about late on a Sunday night. I will never stay here again. Intimidating!
