Excellent location in terms of beauty of nature, access to the lake and calmness of the place. the bar and restaurant are wonderfully decorated and serves very tasty food, we had very nice mussels and very good breakfast of eggs Benedict prepared for us. The building is amazing, everything to experience what I presume is conventional local style. Family room was convenient for all 4 of us, two adults and two kids.

Lovely, clean and well equipped flat bang in the middle of Coniston. We stayed with our 9 month baby and the included travel cot and high chair were excellent quality. The small hall before the kitchen/living room was useful for keeping wet hiking gear.

Everyone at the Inn was kind, accommodating and very helpful. This was a family holiday and the staff didn’t mind the extra asks or the exciting behaviour of the kids (busy toddlers!) - instead they were calm, friendly and having games and kids activity books handy. Also, really good coffee! Thank you! Can’t wait for a return visit:)

Perfect location for accessing the shops, local pubs, Coniston boating centre, cricket ground and Windermere lake is only 25 minutes driving distance. The house has been furnished to a high standard with amazing views both front and rear of the property. The gardens are also well maintained with beautiful landscaping. The house is very convenient for both families with young children and elderly parents. We enjoyed our stay at Holme Fell.

We were staying in the area for my Aunts funeral, the cottage was clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything that we needed. I would thoroughly recommend it for families and we may book it again in the future for a family holiday. Location was easy to find and local to all that we needed.

Big bedroom for a family of 4. Bunk beds for the children. Huge bed for us adults. Nice touches like a lantern in the bedroom so you're able to explore the grounds at night.

beautiful and peaceful setting just outside of Coniston a 5 min walk to the middle but made the difference being a short way out of town - hotel very clean the grounds are lovely especially if have small children lots of space and own shore line on the lake - the staff are the main star attraction here, in my opinion really friendly and chatty - they coped with a member of our party wanting to eat in their room with no fuss at all - it felt like a real treat staying here - evening meal and breakfast excellent

Location was super, can walk to Old Man Coniston, views were wonderful. Facilities for dogs were perfect, good sized dog friendly garden to run around and for children, and lovely to be by the lake. Family room size was ample. All staff were very friendly. The Inn and restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas and had a lovely atmosphere. Would re-visit
