We had a great stay. The social area is big and comfy (two sofa areas and kitchen open plan). The kitchen is good ... pretty well equipped. Garden is lovely. The photos don't do it justice to be honest. The bathrooms are good (en suite had shower, family bathroom has bath with shower over it). The rooms are all spacious. Co op is 5min walk along the road. Also cafe, pottery shop, harbour etc. And lots more in nearby villages too.

The Bothy is a great place to relax away from a busy city and enjoy the Scottish countryside and Fife. There were a lot of lovely and thoughtful touches inside the property (like hot water bottles, a hammock and chairs, extra throws and blankets as it can get cold in Fife as well as portable lights and torches and even marshmallows to roast on the fire). Although the Bothy was quite small every inch of it was maximised by having a lot of clever storage spaces incorporated into the furniture. You can tell that most things inside the Bothy were bespoke, like the blinds and furniture, and a lot of thought and care was put into choosing them. What was also great was that we were offered the option to purchase a handmade hamper of local goods by the St Andrews Hamper Co that was delivered to the Bothy prior to our arrival. Overall, it was a great place to visit and we’ve had a lovely time there.

The property was very clean and smelt fresh. Lots of natural light and a lovely personal touch with the goody box and milk in the fridge. Owner was extremely responsive and helpful with an earlier check-in time. Less than 5 minute walk to the Harbour then just a 10 minute picturesque walk to Anstruther Harbour.

Small kitchen items like a toast rack would have been handy, crockery appeared well worn. Downstairs cooler at night ,but family found downies too warm and no note of tog on them, so if there was a top sheet available or lighter downies in cupboard that would be helpful. These are just suggestions . High chair and travel cot provided which was great. Games room and choice of board games brilliant.

Perfect location (beach only a few mins walk) - such a good place to stay with kids as the village is lovely and it's also close to lots of fun days out in fife. We will be back! :)
