The apartment was spacious, clean and well appointed. A welcome packet of biscuits as well as tea, coffee and milk were waiting for us. The bed was very comfortable, as was the sofa in the lounge. The towels were nice and large. We were met by the host and given a quick tour but, had she not been available, the keys were in a lock box and there was a list of need to know information in the lounge waiting for us. The river view was great and it was relaxing to watch the swans and ducks on the river. If I need to return to the area, this will be my go to place to stay as it really was lovely.

Beautiful place, the photos don’t do it justice! We couldn’t believe how idyllic it was, perfectly kitted out, they had thought of absolutely everything and it was an absolute joy to stay there. My children have asked if we can come back every year!

This is a lovely little hotel, perhaps more a B&B, for visits to Dartmoor. Beautiful location with enormous garden. We felt really at home. Nice little bar with good wine, cozy living room with fireplace and rooms are top. We warmly recommend Weeke Barton.

The little lake is beautiful and there is plenty of green space for the kids to run and play. Very peaceful and relaxing house and location.The renting price is also affordable. Welcoming neighbours too. Amenities aren't far, it took us an average of 20 minutes drive to move around and get what we needed. This is a great house and location to spend fantastic quality family time.

However our room was had sick in the sink which we notified reception and sorted it. The member of staff although friendly didn’t knock on the door whilst sorting this out. Parking is limited but city centre location. Noise outside hotel issue. The major bug bear was our location of room we had two small children and we weren’t near the lift and had to walk through a long corridor, fire doors to access our room.

Lots of clean fluffy towels and bed was very comfortable. Looks to have been recently renovated to a high standard but kept the character of the building. Our Kids are 3 and 6 and we found the hotel very clean, very well kept and the staff welcoming. The dinner was great, as was breakfast. The desserts were amazing, homemade and the bread and butter pudding was the best ever. For a stopover, access to A38 was easy and we also easily travelled to the coast with a short drive for a day of fun. Thanks for a great start to the holiday.

My husband who has bad allergies which often get triggered when on holiday was perfectly fine staying at the Raffles, so I’d say it was very clean and the hypoallergenic claim is true. It is very child friendly, our kids loved the fish pond and the moment our little boy asked for croissants for breakfast, we got them every morning :) Great place!
