Set in Newcastle upon Tyne, 43 km from Alnwick Castle, Otterburn Castle offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The accommodation provides room service and luggage storage space for guests.

what's not to love about sleeping in a castle! Great warm welcome, excellent breakfast, bar and diner, superb location in Otterburn with private grounds (with pond) and homing a badger family was a big bonus. The fact that they work together with the wildlife protection makes it a dream place to stay. Other then that we also loved the wallpaper (birds) in our room.

Whether you travel to Newcastle for business or pleasure, we have an excellent range of facilities at Crowne Plaza Newcastle. Our city centre hotel is located in the heart of Newcastle and boasts 251 luxurious bedrooms, including accessible and family rooms, and nine purpose-built meeting rooms in our conference centre.

The room, the en-suite and the furniture was great. The bed large and very comfortable. Many pillows provided. The TV was very good (but didn't use it much). The en-suite was excellent and there were both a shower and a bath tub. I used both, and was very pleased also with the variety of towels and soaps provided. The breakfast was fantastic. A very large selection of food and drinks to choose from, and all of a very high quality!

Great location and the breakfast was amazing. Small points would be to have the lights a bit better in the room especially with children. A family room for bigger families. Some of us have more than two children (greedy I know 🤪) Would appreciate the breakfast lasting an extra hour to get a wee bit of a long lie lol But to be honest was amazing. Kids loved it and the staff was extremely helpful and brilliant with the kids. Will see you again soon for another visit x

Very affordable especially in this cost of living crisis. Beds were very comfortable. Caravan had everything we needed that we would usually bring from home & the wifi was a brilliant addedbonus especiallywith children with additionalsupport needs. Location was good. (Even next to the road we didn’t have any issues with the noise). We did arrive early and hosts were happy enough to let us enter before check in. We would definitely book again while we visit family.

The Keelman is the perfect location when visiting my family locally. Accommodation is a little basic but comfortable, breakfast was delicious and lots of choice as we were a mixed group with dietary needs. Location is superb and beautiful surroundings. The river Tyne is literally on the door step with beautiful views and walks. There are facilities for small children with a playground on the premises but also a country park within walking distance.

Parking was too far away for families with small children as had to walk with lots of luggage but to be expected for a city centre location. Bar was a bit pricey and no draught beers only bottles which was disappointing

I recommend the apartments in Gateshead for those looking for family accommodation. Although I rented the place in the center, the property changed at the last moment, I was upset at first, but then we were very pleased. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. It is in a nice location for families with children, there is a market, etc nearby. You can easily meet your needs.
