Breakfast was very tasty, both traditional and vegan and on arrival we much enjoyed the welcoming scones and shortbread. With quiet and spacious room, all within a few hundred yards of the lively center of Penrith this is an excellent starting point for the lake district as well as a convenient stop on a North South journey.

Lots of little extras to ensure kids are welcome, entertained and catered for. The family rooms with the bunk beds are the best that we’ve stayed in. Can’t be beat. Friendly, courteous staff, despite our stay being early on in the restriction being lifted and the staff being new and still training. Just fantastic.

When we got to the room the children had cookies and welcome packs left in the room, even a spa robe and slippers, That was a really nice touch! The room was great and had bunk beds for the kids which they loved! The hotel is lovely, modern with a really nice spa. The pool is also family friendly & the food at the hotel was excellent.
