In the pretty Cumbrian market town of Penrith, Abbey House B & B provides attractive accommodation within half a mile of the train station, town centre and Penrith Castle. En suite rooms have free Wi-Fi and free parking. Each room has a TV, hairdryer, alarm clock and tea and coffee facilities with hot chocolate and biscuits. En suite bathroom facilities have a shower or bath. All rooms are showers only. You can enjoy a full Cumberland breakfast from 08:00 – 09:00, with bacon, eggs, sausage, tomato, mushrooms and baked beans, and a vegetarian version is also available. There is tea, coffee and juice, along with cereals, yoghurt and fresh fruit. An earlier breakfast is available by arrangement. Breakfast is 7.30 until 9am. Five miles from Ullswater, Penrith lies just outside the Lake District, with Keswick just a 25-minute drive away. You can reach both Lake Windermere and Coniston Water in around 1 hour, and Kendal in less than 40 minutes. Parking is limited to 2 spaces in the car park after that it is parking on the road with a parking disc provided

Abbey House B&B, offers a warm family atmosphere, comfortable accommodation and a hearty traditional Cumberland breakfast. Our Guest House is located in the busy market town of Penrith in Cumbria. You are assured of the ideal bed and breakfast base, where you can relax and unwind whether you have had a hard day driving, sight seeing, cycling or working! Don’t just take our word for it - why not take a look at some of our guest comments? Please note we are not pet friendly We are ideally positioned for visiting some of the country's most beautiful scenery including the Eden Valley, The Pennines, Scottish Borders and the Lake District, with the magnificent Lake Ullswater only five short miles away. Many of the finest lakeland fells are easily accessible, including Helvellyn, Blencathra and Skiddaw. The Coast to Coast Cycle Route is very close and have secure storage facilities for bikes. Our guest rooms are all en-suite, with excellent facilities including TVs, hairdryers and a hot drinks tray. All sky channels ( excluding movies) Abbey house has a small CAR PARK to the rear of the house, this cannot be reserved. There is parking outside the b&b and a parking disc is provided on arrival ( free)

We warmly welcome all of you to our home and will do everything we can to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable . A home from home experience wether it be for one night or a longer stay
Penrith is a large town acting as a regional centre for the eastern Lake District, lying just outside the National Park. En-route to and from Scotland and only 10 miles from the north Pennines. The welcoming market town is the hub of the Eden Valley and a great base from which to explore the surrounding area. As well as the wealth of walking and cycling in the area, there are a host of other things to do and places to visit.
