The Bay Lodge was a wonderful experience on many levels! From the greeting by Clare the uber friendly owner who directed me to my really nice single room with a balcony and answered any and all questions that I had. The balcony was a nice touch even in January where I had a nice view of St. Michael's Mount. Bay lodge is very conveniently located, about a ten minute walk from the train station and town. The breakfast cooked up by Kevin was delicious and very filling. Clare was great to talk to about goings on in Penzance and the surrounding area; she even gave me a "Clare" map with suggestions of places to go. Clare and Kevin could not be more accommodating. I've stayed at a number of B&B's, but I must say The Bay Lodge is now my favorite.

This is a wonderful place to stay. We loved everything about the cottage. It had its own parking space, it was superbly appointed and spotlessly clean. It is in a great location just a short distance out of Penzance and handy to the fabulous Minack Theatre, the tin mines, Mousehole and the Cornish beaches.The host was friendly and welcoming and Jerry's artworks were another good feature.

The beds were extremely comfortable and the shower worked well. The kitchen was also very well equipped. The location was perfect, quiet but very close to beaches, the Minack and a great pub, the Logan Rock Inn. The hosts were lovely and we really appreciated the basket of local treats. The staff in the bar were happy and nothing was too much trouble. Our two family rooms were lovely and clean, the bedding and towels were fluffy and the beds really comfortable. The staff were extremely cheerful and helpful and went out of their way to to make us feel at home. My fiend and I booked a twin room and were very pleased to find ourselves in a large family room with a twin and two singles directly opposite the Egyptian House. The hotel is right in the centre of town which makes everything easily accessible. Parking provided which was a bonus especially at the height of the season. The house was also very clean and had everything we needed for our holiday including a lovely welcome basket of some local food, comfortable bed, nice bathrooms and very comfortable living room area. Beautiful house and the views and gardens were great to explore, they supplied lots of games and things for the kids to play and it was only a short walk to the beach.
