A magical fairy made sure there was hot water available on the hall console outside my room so I could make my cup of tea first thing! Ultimate winner! Lovely green outdoor patio area and also an upstairs balcony/verandah to sit so plenty of fresh air and light.

Just a minutes’ walk from the golden sands of Pauanui Beach, Ocean Breeze Resort boasts a seasonal outdoor pool and a steamy hot tub. All self-contained apartments feature a balcony or patio with pool views. The unit for 3 of us was excellent with beautiful surroundings and a lovely heated pool. The bathroom came with a spa bath and ample shower space. We also had a washing machine and dryer in the apartment which was a bonus and very much appreciated. The hostess Louise was very friendly and helpful and shopping was only 5 mins away.

Very helpful staff, the room was spacious, clean and well equiped. Great view over the bay. Very good value too

Wairua Lodge is a 15-minute drive from Whitianga and a 30-minute drive from Hotwater Beach. Cathedral Cove is a 35-minute drive and Auckland International Airport is a 2.5 hour drive away. What an amazing location, deep in the bush, overlooking a river at the bottom of the ravine. The hosts, Debbie and Ernst, were friendly and helpful. The home-made bread and honey from the bees in the back garden were absolutely delicious. Room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. Drive to Whitianga was just over 15 minutes, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds, forest and sea.

Centrally located in the historic Coromandel Township, Coromandel Apartments offer self-contained accommodation with a full kitchen and a patio. Some apartments are located in the central Coromandel Township, some at Beach Side and some at Harbour View. Free parking and free WiFi access are provided. Excellent location, very comfortable and clean. We were in the property during a storm at night and felt totally safe. The covered parking lot is most useful.
