It was the best decision we've made in awhile as this place exceeded our expectations. We have stayed here 3 times already this year, and we plan to come back year after year. We have 4 kids ranging from 2yrs-9yrs. Between the playground situated between the tents, the mini farm with animals and fruit trees and a garden, the pool and coal-heated jacuzzis, the friendly staff, and the cozy tents, it's an incredible experience not just for the littles ones but for the whole family. The restaurant has delicious food when you want to treat yourself to a meal, but the equipped mini kitchen in the tent also makes it easy to throw meals together. All in all, amazing experience.

The design of the hotel is wonderful and very authentic but manages to combine modern touches. The pool is heated and has views of the mountains making it very relaxing. The property is clean and has great facilities within the apartment. Jessica and the team do a fantastic job of making you feel welcome and providing all the information you need - very hospitable. The highlight for my kids was the pond with turtles and fish - a great touch! This is a great spot to explore Serra da Estrela and I would not hesitate in recommending this to anyone and hope to return one day for another stay! Thank you to the SERRA team!

Situated within 39 km of Geopark Naturtejo and 50 km of Monsanto Castle, CASA 3 - OS LUGARES DE CASTRALEUCA features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Castelo Branco. This recently renovated aparthotel is located 600 metres from St. Michael's Church and 1 km from Episcopal Palace Gardens. The aparthotel has family rooms as well as facilities for disabled guests. We liked everything. Arrival was very slick, no check-in just enter the codes provided and enter the apartment. The entrance area and lift were scrupulously clean, tidy and well lit. Our apartment was on the third floor and was an attic conversion. It was very well designed and had absolutely everything you could need. The fridge was well stocked for breakfast the following morning and this was restocked throughout our stay. Fresh bread was left every morning in a bag outside our door. Full marks for a wonderful experience.

Fantastic place in the mountains. Located in a schist village in some ways more charming than Piódão. Cozy place with a simple but more than ample breakfast. And all the firewood you could want for the fabulous fireplace. Thanks so much!

Wonderful staff who went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. We are travelling in off season so hotel was not busy. We really enjoyed the room commodities, the taste of the decoration, the hospitality of the hosts, not to mention that the dinner made by the host and the breakfast were both exceptional.
