Giovanna was the hostess, but it was a family affair in running Azzarone. The mother baked pies and deserts; the brother cooked, the fathered cared for the farm, and Giovanna coordinated. A traveler could not stay at a more friendly and caring establishment. Giovanna concerned herself with our lost baggage, and advised us to reroute our plans to the Tremiti Islands. She was impressively on top of everything. Lastly we ate quite well at the family run restaurant, much better than other agriturismi we stayed at, and economical as well. Giovanna was also the waitress at the restaurant.
