Super nice and helpful host. Cottage was clean and there was AC which was super useful. Well equipped and large bathroom. Small playground for children is a plus. Location is good, with a small village just at a 10 minute drive (with pharmacy, cafes, supermarket, etc). Really close to Fragas de São Simão.

For those looking for a quiet, rustic getaway this property is a paradise. The creek that runs right by the house is beautiful for swimming in as long as you enjoy clear, cool water. There are small trout in the pools and the smell of the eucalyptus trees (I think that's what they were...) makes for an ideal setting. Carlos, the owner, is a wonderful person who goes out of his way to make your stay comfortable. We greatly appreciated his kindness and help. We drove our Fiat Panda in without any difficulty, but the road is a little rough for about 1km before arriving at the house. It makes for a great experience.
