Breakfast is excellent, really complete! Sandomil (the village where the property is) is so calm and beautiful. The 'praia fluvial' that is nearby is really nice! The host, Jorge, is just wonderful! He made me feel at home and cared for during my two night stay. In a world where accomodation booked online feels more and more impersonal, this was a welcomed surprise and really upgraded my whole experience at the Serra da Estrela. The hospedagem is an old house which has been tastefully renovated. My room had a beautiful stone wall, a comfortable sofa to relax on while reading a book, drinking wine and looking the sun go down. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is spacious with an amazing shower. A perfect place to unwind after a hiking day.

Absolutely perfect quite mountain retreat with amazing breakfast, incredible views, awesome hiking trails, and very friendly staff. I could easily spend a month here in the summer time.
