At the farm stay, some units have a private entrance, dining area, fireplace and microwave. Some of the units have a satellite flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, and a private bathroom with a bath and a hair dryer. At the farm stay, each unit includes bed linen and towels.

It's peaceful, very well appointed with everything we needed. Gas heater and loadshedding lights. Electric blankets and lovely bedding . All new gas appliances including a gas geyser, and a very convenient position for the main meander route. Really lovely people that own the cottages too. A great surprise was that the cottage now has its own wifi. I highly recommend this place for a chilled, down to earth home away from home farm stay experience.

The beautiful scenery of mountain and wildlife while driving to the property. The cottage style and furnishings are absolutely breathtaking. The decor reflects the nature outside. In the morning you are greeted by wildlife in front of the cottage and we were able to have coffee on the stoep with deer standing on the lawn. The area offers a lot of unique dining options but should you want to you can prepare absolutely anything in the kitchen as you’ll have everything you need.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Thyme Out Weltevreden Farm. The most tranquil relaxing stay if you love the sound of birds, the wind, tranquility and to literally smell the roses, what a gem! Close to Terbedor, Fable and the Taproom as well as The Barn Owl. We found the venue clean and we felt welcome. We will be back!

Amazing cosy cottage in an absolutely beautiful setting. Cottage is equipped with everything we needed, even smaller detail nice to haves like plunger coffee and olive oil. Unfortunately it was raining, but there was more than enough wood provided if we wanted to light a fire for a braai. The horses in the farm provide a real farm stay feel. We loved the information book in the cottage, it gives lots of information of things to do in the Midlans, it even provides a suggested 4 day itinerary in the midlands.

What a wonderful place with wonderful people! John, Katie and their family are so welcoming and their property offers so much in the way of animals, swimming, fishing, canoeing in the dam, roaming the fields and relaxing in so many beautiful spots. The Midlands has so much to do and their farm is well located enabling you to go in different directions each day to drink it all in. The Barn Owl is just down the road - great environment, food and coffee. We highly recommend A Farm Life and anticipate returning!
