Rustic, peaceful and very comfortable. You get the benefit of feeling like you are on a farm whilst still only a short walk into town. Farm fresh eggs, milk and rusks provided in the kitchen as well as local wine selection all added a welcome touch. The outdoor shower from which you can see the mountains was also a highlight.

Kliphuis at Desert Wind is a rare find. The property was extremely well equipped. Can’t say enough great things about the host. Alicia was so friendly and welcoming, she even came to check up on us since we were so secluded just to make sure we were still okay. The seclusion is real, no network, no internet. Being in nature, the hot tub overlooking the riverbed plus the amazing views was priceless.

The central location made it easy to visit nearby towns Montagu, Robertson. McGregor and many wine farms. Our cottage had an absolutely spectacular view of the mountains.
