    I look for two main things when I go to a place like this: (1) Bed must be comfy. (2) Shower must work properly. In both cases at Watermill Farm I was pleasantly surprised as both were perfect. Shower floor was a bit rough for my wife though. I was ok with it.

    The scenery was stunning. The walks around the farm were good. There is also a easy walk into VanWyks Dorp The hospitality of the hosts was exceptional. I loved my stay . Rustic and charming.

    The breakfast was a bit expensive. There can be improvement- if you add 2 slices of fresh farm bread and a little piece of sausage than the price is in order. the location is okay walking distance of the rest of the town

    We enjoyed the farm stay. The cottage is located on a working farm with friendly dogs, chicken and geese. Watermill cottage was comfortable and has everything one needs for a stay. We loved the resident cat visiting us ❤️. Watching the stars at night in the Karoo is special.

    Had a fabulous one night stay. Could have stayed for the weekend. It is a really working farm feel. With plenty of wondering chickens, geese, dogs & cats but all very friendly & respectful of your space and privacy. We stayed in an old barn which was cosy and comfortable. There are no shops near by so make sure you bring food provisions etc for your stay. Our hostess very kindly did this as we arrived on bicycles & then I was able to reimburse her upon our arrival. Will be back that is for sure!

    It was a lovely setting off the beaten track. We had a pleasant stay in a rustic house. There were lovely walks and it is a birders paradise - do not forget your binoculars! Living off the grid is a different experience.

    Didn't include breakfast. Location was perfect for our needs as we were visiting residents in the town. Homely and rustic, yet the cottage had all the amenities necessary, especially in the kitchen department! Enjoyed the attention to detail such as little 'decor' bits and pieces and cutest windows and trimmings.

    there is a rustic charm and homeliness about Watermill farm cottages. we loved the cats, dogs, chickens around the property and the sense of history. the swim in the dam was delightful! it is authentic and unpretentious- we will definitely return
