Free use of bicycles is available at this farm stay and the area is popular for horse riding. Enormously friendly and helpful couple that lives at the Farmstay. They went out of their way to make a truly memorable experience around the farm and around the town. I would highly recommend to stay there and would definitely do so again myself. Waikato Stadium is 13 km from the farm stay and Hamilton Gardens is 14 km away. Very tidy, great location and the bowl of fresh fruit on the way in was a fantastic gesture. Having met up with the Labradoodle and their owner (one of the hosts) after dinner out we were even happier with our choice.

This place was the best of all my NZ stays! It was perfect: plush (everything high quality), super clean and modern. Loved the fresh baked bread and homemade goods. Staff was wonderful. Location was beautiful and convenient.Would definitely stay here again!

A good location for a relaxing holiday in Port Waikato, Te Karaka Lodge is a farm stay surrounded by views of the mountain. The property features a private beach area, outdoor swimming pool and private parking among other facilities. This 5-star farm stay offers full-day security and luggage storage space. Free WiFi is available throughout the property, as well as a terrace and a restaurant. The property also offers accommodation for disabled guests. Everything is perfect about this place. The road from Auckland to the property was a bit rocky but totally worth the trouble. It is such a quiet relaxing hideaway and this is what I have always envisioned of NZ. Aaron and Danielle are wonderful hosts and make you feel welcomed and at ease the whole time. The dinner prepared by Chef Dom is also superb. Have to come back again for a longer stay!
