A fine building, rooms, grounds, dining but mostly - service. The tasting menu was a joy and the portions were finely judged so that we were not in a food coma the next day. Free(!) EV car charging was a boon for an establishment that manages to combine old-worlde charm with the finest of modern convenience.

The food in the restaurant was also very good. As we had a swim event the following morning, a member of staff organised with the chef to serve us breakfast a little earlier than the norm, which we were really grateful for. The room was comfortable, the mattress on the bed was perfect and I slept well. The complementary red wine and plentiful hot drinks in the room were also a lovely touch that you wouldn't find anywhere else.

The bed was very comfortable and even with my insomnia a had a few nights of decent sleep. The Dwyfor Coffee and Tea was top notch, a 5 star for this. I now want to know if I can get some delivered to my house. The hotel was in a very good location for Llyn Tegid, Barmouth / Abermaw beach, Llangollen and Wrexham/ Wrecsam.KendraSolo traveller
