The exceptional and beautiful room was by far the nicest I have stayed in, to date. The hosts were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. I would say that their kindnesses are what made my stay so memorable, but the fantastic view from room 5 - of the mountains and forest - was also exceptional. 5 stars from me; I long to return.
Hotel room was immaculately clean as was the rest of the hotel. Swimming area was really nice but the restaurant was the star of the show. The food was amazing! There was plenty of variety, everything was cooked to perfection and good portions. Thank you to the chef!
Sean and Mary went above and beyond! Everything was perfect. Breakfast was absolutely 5 star. Loved our stay! Can't wait to return...
We loved exploring the surrounding areas with our cameras.. Loved the Red Squirrels on Anglesea and that infamous tree at Llanberis! And of course, a visit to the Dyfi Osprey Project!
Loved every minute of our time out...
Thank you both.
We always like staying at the Ty Gwyn.
Its' character is superb, keeping the 16th Century charm and ambience. The restaurant menu is vast and the quality is 5 star. Make sure you book in advance. Breakfast is substantial.

This guest house is a little gem. The breakfast was superb using local produce of fine quality. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. We have no hesitation in awarding five stars.
Tracey is an amazing host! She was waiting for us at check in, provided as many tips as possible about places to visit and things to do and she spoiled us every morning with an amazing breakfast. The guest house feels like home, cozy bedrooms where you can find all possible comforts. The standards and attention to details is like a 5 stars hotel, all spotless!

The food is to a 5 star standard and congratulations to the chef and the kitchen staff. This raises the profile of the hotel. Both our meals for two tables of 6 people were faultless. The breakfast team go the extra mile and we were grateful for their attentiveness, quality and quantity of food and service.
The swimming pool is a good size and kept very clean. The sauna and steam room are a welcome benefit after a hard days activities, but you need to book during Covid times.
