The staff was exceptional! Everyone went out of their way to help us and make our stay very pleasant. Our suite was beautifully decorated and the grounds are lovely (especially love your peonies)!

Applegarth was a great place to begin our Lake District walk. The historical home was gorgeous and well appointed in every aspect. We enjoyed the comfortable beds and linens, location was ideal and central. Hosts and staff friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic at breakfast and for one of our dinners. Highly recommend.

Our hosts were very friendly and helpful as this was our first stay in Bowness. Location was superb and parking was ideal. Our room was both comfortable and homely. As for food, Steve proved to be a wonderful cook and Sam a perfect host when it came to tending to our every need. We had an amazing stay in a fabulous family room with amazing views and everything you could possibly need. Clare & Rob go above and beyond to ensure that you have a wonderful stay, so friendly and accommodating. My little boy said they should be awarded 5 stars after he was made pancakes for breakfast and we could not agree more. The breakfasts were delicious. We will certainly return and look forward to it. The grounds are lovely and peaceful. The Spa facilities were tranquil and relaxing. The staff made the difference. So welcoming, friendly and helpful. We stayed at the Penthouse Suite and it was beautifully presented. The room was immaculate clean including the hotel. The views from the room across Lake Windermere was amazing. Food, Breakfast and Drinks where definitely enjoyable. 5 Stars from us Thank you.
