Good food in all areas, the chef in the White Hart is very skilled. The staff are friendly and capable. Also, fantastic moustachioed maitre d in Green Table Cafe, superb soup. You might try the bagels in the other cafe. The Barn Cinema is always interesting: film on Klimt filled in cultural gaps. Swampy the cypress and the golden ginko tree give off the vibes of longevity. Distant moonlit owls, one flash of lightning, one crack of thunder.

The hotel is in a fantastic location formerly owned by the chef Keith Floyd. The staff were very welcoming and the food especially the Sunday roast was superb. The breakfast was fantastic. Excellent polite service. We had a budget room but it was clean and comfortable. And the cost? £65 B&B. Compare that with another waterfront hotel we stayed at in Totnes- £160 for the night and very mediocre breakfast for £15 each!!

Breakfast was superb with quality ingredients cooked to perfection. We also stayed for evening meal which was equally as good. Lovely quiet village location surrounded by beautiful countryside yet within easy reach of tourist attractions. Friendly hosts and staff for whom nothing was too much trouble.

A great place to stay in a superb location. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Good car parking. Large room (Nightingale) which was great as we stayed six nights. They have a great chef although meals were pricey (but also pricey elsewhere. Moorings available for passing boats.

Loved the decor, shabby chic but very stylish,, loved the quality of everything, food, toiletries, coffee, loose tea, attention to detail was fab. It did feel luxurious and yet very environmentally aware. Shower room gorgeous, again attention to detail was fab. Breakfast was very good, freshly cooked, quality ingredients. Location was great, not in the middle of the noise but at the top of the high street so close to all amenities.

Absolutely 5 stars. Communication was excellent from the moment of booking. The property was very easy to find and just a short drive to local shops. Everything is fitted to a high standard throughout - appliances, furnishings etc. Good wifi, secure parking, quiet location. Cannot find anything to fault.

You will not be able to fault your stay at Bow farm from 2 local pubs within 15 min walk one by a flowing river the other situated at the end of a estuary both have outside seating . The attention to detail both Steve & Donna offer at bow farm is outstanding comfy beds luxurious bed linen chocolates on the pillow every day massive shower with never ending flow of hot water the list could go on but best of all is the welcome you will receive while staying here this really is a 5 star accommodation .
