Its safe to say Flameback Eco Lodge made our entire stay at Sri Lanka the most memorable and amazing experience. the room, the whole atmosphere, the food, the staff, you just can’t find any problems at this place. the hotel is located in a spectacular area with a lot of green and a huge lake right beside you. you wake up in the morning to either the monkeys running around or to the beautiful sound of the nature and birds. and at one point during the day, you might encounter of buffaloes casually eating grass next to your room. special thanks to the assistant manager of the hotel (Sampath) who made our stay at the hotel even more amazing. you could literally as the guy about any requests and he’s gonna make sure you get it.

We saw elephant on the property, and other wild animals..monkeys, squirrels, cows, and buffalos. Food was okay. Not much to choose from as a westerner... I asked for egg Benedict, and the chef went to made it. Really appreciate it. The ocean view room is very spacious and the view is absolutely amazing.. The bathroom is very huge and allow for a sea view as well. Love the sustainability part of the proterty. All eco friendly , great place for those who care about the planet My family and I will be back.

You can enjoy pool view from the balcony. We loved the location of this hotel. It was beautiful. Our main purpose was to go for Safari, and this hotel is perfectly located from Yala National Park. They even packed us breakfast at 5am, so we can take it with us to Safari. We spent an afternoon at the pool, (and had it all to ourselves which was also a bonus). The food was great, and we had the buffet there. The staff were all amazing. Everyone that worked there, were quite young, but incredibly professional, polite and kind, and they all really went out of their way to help us.

They have many types of food western and Sri Lankan. The beds were good and the AC was very cold (a good thing). The bathroom were clean but the water pressure was not the best, but got the job done. The hotel even set up a jeep for our safari tour all we had to do was be in the lobby. The staff spoke very good English and was very friendly.
